Adult Day Program at Westminster Village

Imagine an Adult Day Program for adults where wholeness of body, mind and spirit is at the very heart of what we do.

Welcome to The Adult Day Programs at Westminster Village. We bring more than 15 years of experience to three different programs that are specifically designed to meet the varying needs of older adults who wish to remain independent and for the families caring for them at home. We provide socialization, a variety of activities, meals, snacks, and a selection of other services - so that while participants are enjoying their day with us, caregivers can go through their day without added worry.

The Adult Day Programs at Westminster Village accommodate the distinctly different needs of our participants and their families with the Christian understanding and compassion that you would expect from a Presbyterian Senior Living community. The result has been the development of three separate programs that specialize in three areas:

The Chapelwood Center at Westminster Village is a dementia day program for people dealing with Alzheimer's Disease or a related dementia. The staff participates in ongoing education and training to best meet leisure and personal care needs as well as to maintain as many abilities and as much independence as possible. In addition, the program materials and features all work together to provide an environment that supports the strengths and abilities of these participants.

Depending on the needs of the participant and family, a typical day might include:
  • Morning arrival at agreed upon time with family or the Metro-Plus transportation network
  • A full breakfast with friends
  • Optional personal care services
  • A visit to the beauty or barber shop
  • Active games or exercises
  • Full lunch at noon
  • Afternoon of music
  • Reminiscing, crafts or art work
  • Mid-afternoon snack

Encouragement and interaction with staff and friends is an important part of this program. Participants enjoy sharing memories and life's experiences. Favorite outings include lunch trips to nearby restaurants as well as community festivals.

How do you know which program will work best for you? Evaluating needs and setting goals is a crucial part in deciding which program and services will best serve an individual. If you are a caregiver, our staff will talk with you, assess the needs of your loved one and determine which program will meet your needs.

We're as close as the telephone. Call (610) 782-8390 to schedule a tour. We'll be happy to talk with you and provide more information, as well as current prices and availability.

After all, we firmly believe that the people we care for should LOVE where they SPEND their day.
